The Republic of Macedonia, located in Southeastern Europe, is a landlocked nation. It is a member of the World Trade Organization, the Council of Europe, the United Nations and a few other international organizations. There are several economic sectors, for example services, industry, tourism, etc. that contribute towards the development of the economy. Services sector is the largest economic sector in terms of earning revenues and providing job opportunities. The chief manufacturing industries are textiles, iron and steel, power generation, cement, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
